This doesn't work well for worlds or patterns but is fine for most other items. The other option is to convert as many of your cc items to.

ebc files, but for premium content, you'd need to move your current ccmerged.package (in DCBackup) to the new Sims 3 folder so it can be present when you install the new premium content, then move it back to the old Sims 3 folder when you're done. For store content, the same principle applies except with. And of course move over any files from Library, SavedSims, or InstalledWorlds as well.

dbc files to your existing Sims 3 folder and continue to bypass the launcher. When you want to install more custom content, you can do so in a clean Sims 3 folder, then renumber and move the. So your options are to work around it, for example bypassing the launcher as you're doing now. The launcher is somewhat unstable and prone to issues like this, and there isn't much you can do about it. Thank you in advance for reading this very long It sounds like you simply have too much custom content for the launcher to handle. This will just become an issue for when I would want to install new cc as it would mean doing the above process all over again. When I do bypass the launcher I am still able to play and it does seem everything is installed. So it does not seem to be a corrupt download. What I found was that when the files were placed one by one in the newly created sims 3/dccache folder the launcher would open with no issue, but when I put everything at once it would give me that system error. I also followed Mell’s method ( ) of testing each of the installed content in DC Cache and seeing what causes the launcher not to open.

My mods folder isn’t the issue, as I tested by taking that out on multiple occasions. As I did by mistake delete about 3-4 things not related to sims 3 (I have no idea what they were or do).

I have no idea how to fix this, not sure if maybe I deleted something I shouldn’t have when searching the registry editor. It gives a system error that says that the application had to be terminated because memory couldn’t be allocated. However, the issue I seem to be sitting with now is that after I installed the last bit of my cc, the launcher doesn’t want to open. showed up in the game which was a good sign. And so I figured out through searching forums and videos that I needed to use registry editor to search for sims 3 registry items and delete them after uninstalling the games. So I resorted to uninstalling my game and all the expansion packs and reinstalling. I even tried recreating the folder again and installing in bits, yet same issue. I installed lucky palms and it showed up in the installed worlds folder but it didn’t show up in game. Everything showed up in the sims 3 file as normal however, when I went into my game only some things showed up. I had to use task manager to force end it, and then only did the launcher load everything I installed. It worked but when I would try to reinstall my cc, the blue box would pop up as usual & install everything but when I would click done, the box turned black and wouldn’t go away. Of course first thing I did was to create a new sims 3 folder in electronic arts as this usually solves the issue. Note: I don’t use origin, I use the disc. My game was working just fine and I hadn’t noticed the issue until I wanted to install new cc as I usually just bypass the launcher. I apologise in advance as this is going to be a long one but I would rather explain everything once. I’ve encountered a weird issue with my launcher and I would appreciate help.
